The Old Milll

ONE OF PIGEON FORGE’S OLDEST SHOPPING DISTRICTS

The Old Mill, built in 1830, is one of the oldest continuously operating gristmills in the country and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Old Mill District offers two restaurants, pottery, ice cream, candy, and a General Store! This destination spot is known for dining, shopping, and Smoky Mountain hospitality. Experience a traditional, hearty Southern meal served family style, at the Old Mill Restaurant by the river and the historic mill. Visit the General Store to pick up the cornmeal, grits, and mix for fritters like were served for breakfast. Across the street, the Pottery House Cafe and Grille serves steaks to fried chicken, soups, salads, sandwiches, and homemade bakery bread and desserts.

The Creamery and Candy Kitchen offer old-fashioned, homemade sweets. At the Pigeon River Pottery, shop for one-of-a-kind, beautifully glazed, functional pieces made by our master potter. Visit the Farmhouse Kitchen for products that take the Old Mill style to your home and kitchen and shop for toys and gifts at the Toy Bin. Don't forget to visit Sassafras for unique fashion and jewelry!
